The maps are incorrect, I suspect it's a holdover from the days of the depot and later offices in the old depot. The public portion of Freeman ends where it takes a right turn to parallel the tracks. The REGIS map gives the most accurate public right of way map but I even find an occasional error on it. I'm pretty sure I saw a No Trespassing sign on a power pole where the roadway turns at the tracks. Good luck on getting the other maps corrected - some still show the PRR to Muskegon on the northwest side, MIGN north of Comstock Park and the old KB&E, all gone for years
