Interesting point but every map I have looked at including Google, Mapquest and Bing shows Freeman s.w. running west on the north side of the tracks and over Plaster Creek just short of the old depot. Then at that point I think there is a sign welcoming you to Wyoming Yard/Bulk Transfer area and telling you what the rules are similar to the one off Frontage, which is another public street but either GR or Wyoming has put a gate over that street. I have not gone down that way in years so I don't know how often it is open. There is a small No Trespassing sign along Freeman but I assumed that meant they don't want you wandering around off the road. Every now and then I have drove down Freeman drove over Plaster Creek and turned around well short of where they show Freeman ending on these maps and short of the signs on the other side of Plaster Creek.
If this is not correct these maps should be fixed and CSX should put a sign up east of Plaster Creek somewhere. It is not just one map it is all the major commercial maps. If Freeman is a public road over Plaster Creek as these maps show CSX can't keep folks from driving down it. It is also interesting that the ashpalt company on Market uses Freeman to access their facilities. I have seen plenty of CSX employees while driving down that road and the most any of them did was give a friendly wave.
