Forms will be available, on-line. As soon as I have a final form for 2012 entries, I will post it, and leave a note here.
I will also be posting a show secretary email address, for those forms to be sent in advance. I don't have that yet..
For showing, the rule book is your friend. Make sure you get a 2012 edition. They are available for download (very large) from APHA, or you can email APHA for the booklet.
You should check the rules for show attire carefully, as well as rules for equipment, before you show.
Western riding classes require a long-sleeved shirt and a western-style hat. Jeans are fine for riding in, but in Western Pleasure you will look better with show chaps. That's up to you.
If you are showing Halter or Showmanship, you will want a suitable western-cut suit and tie.
On equipment, there are lots of things to be aware of - legal bit for the class, no twists in the curb strap, etc. Each class is different. You would expect to see skid and protective boots in reining, but they are not allowed in WP (for example).
You can only use tie-downs in certain classes (gymkhana), as another example.
