I am a friend of Rob's, we graduated from Bonaventure together. I have so many great memories of Rob especially of the time he first came to Bona's. He had just finished up a semester overseas, playing Rugby in South Africa. He knew everything there was to know about Rugby. I remember when he joined the Bona Rugby team and my brother Rob was one of the captains at the time. Rob and Rob always butted heads. Rob got the nickname South Africa, that was all he talked about and had every right to. When the older ruggers would bust his chops about it, he always took it so well. He never let his feathers get ruffled. He had such a good sense of humor. He played Rugby from the heart. He was the best I had ever seen. My brother realized that but he said it was part of being a captain to give the new ruggers a hard time. I always used to tell Rob not to let my brother bother him, that he should go back at him, but he would say, "He's my captain, Mo, I have to respect him, I don't always have to agree with him, but I have to respect him." Rob always had good things to say about everyone, no matter what. He was such a good person. He will always be in my thoughts and in my prayers. I really miss him. I know that he is the captain of the best Rugby team ever in Heaven. Go South Africa, Gringo, Rob, you're the MAN!!!!!!!!!
