It's fleeday, freeday Friday!!! Yahoo!!! Yippee!!! Hooray!!!
Hola all you expatriate patriots,
You see, even the unemployed feel good on a Friday as old habits are hard to break...Sometimes I miss telling the boss adios, goodby and farewell...Anyway, back at the Anderson oasis, I am up and have a wash finished just waiting to be put out and up for that lucky ole sun to do his thing but I'm hesitating as long as possible as we had a significant amount of rain last night and I want to make sure we have clear sailin' ahead before I put out today's Whirlpool contribution...
Well, we finally made it out to Italianni's at the Forum Shopping Center and all we can say simplistically is "Welcome newcomer"!!! We shall be a semi-permanent fixture there as their Italian food is second to none here in Nayarit or Puerto Vallarta or all points north, south, east or west......The ambience is wonderful, the service superb and the culinary offerings out of this world...PENNE ARRABBIATO and LASAGNA A LA BIANCINI were our choices and they were both superb... http://www.italiannis.com/USA/index.php
Put that together with a round loaf of superbly baked and garlicly tasting herb bread and a delicious olive oil with more herbs and balsamic vinegar for dippin' and you have a great starter...Their portions are enormous compared to what one is accustomed to and I'll guarantee that you will leave this 'little bit of Italy' one, or in our case, two happy gondoliers...I say gondoliers as their outfits are similiar to what the gondoliers usually wear in Venice...If you like great food, you'll love it at Italianni's...Alice has been to almost all culinary points of call in this wide, wide world and she said after this culinary bliss that her lasagna was as good as any she has ever enjoyed and that's saying lot coming from this 3-star critic...If you don't give this winner a visit, you're really missing out on a wonderful experience, trust me!!! Management suggests a starter and shared entrees. We'll do that next time. They even serve traditional family style meals for groups of three or more.
Remember on Fridays that you need to raise a glass and face north and thank all those stateside workerbees working their fingers to the bone and paying out those payroll deductions to Uncle Sam to insure that we can continue living the good life SOTB...Thanks workerbees, your turn will come!!!
Have a great day folks and we'll talk to ya later if not sooner...
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
