Hola all you expatriate patriots,
Another Monday, another week to get it right...I am up and have done the chores that are required to keep the housekeeper happy as well as those who want me to represent the family lookin' good...The shower and Mr. Schick are history and only a few outer garments remain to be included in the scene before I depart for Vip's...Oh, I almost forgot, I gave both ChaChi and little Luke a bath this morning...How about that???
Rain continues to follow us around and we could use a few days on the wagon to dry out, por favor...Yesterday we had a very pleasant culinary experience as we went to the newly opened El Agave De Nayarit Restaurant located on the Hwy 15 bypass about halfway along the city loop...The address is Libramento Carretero #67 and the phone # is 219 39 56...This is a huge 'restaurant familiar' with bigger than life everything from tables and chairs to the dining room itself...Lots of parking which is very important to me...The food itself is very good and very well priced, low and behold...We had an appetizer of 4 shrimp empanadas (there was also a shrimp dip and chips plus red and green salsas) and I had an entree of pescado mojo de ajo and Alice had shrimp de ajo, all shrimp peeled of course, and we had a delicious banana inspired dessert plus beverages like coke and soda plus a 35peso margarita that was excellent according to my queen...The total of the tab was 270 pesos which was a real deal considering the seafood feast that we enjoyed...We shall surely return to this place sooner than later...Oh, service is also first class...Unfortunately we had to watch the USA blow the game to Brazil while we ate but I didn't think we could hold back that tide anyway so I was able to keep smiling...I've held back the best until last as we found out about this new place from a grand opening article in the Enfoque Newspaper but they neglected to put in an address...Alice and I couldn't find anyone who knew anything about El Agave so Alice suggested we go to the local police station...Not only did we find out where this place was but we were escorted by a police car all the miles that it takes to get there and the two cops even got out of the car and went into the restaurant and made sure we got in alright...Only in Mexico...Don't ya just love it...
Well, have a great day and we'll talk to ya later...If you get over Vip's way, drop on by and we'll discuss the sporting green or fishing or whatever...
Adios and cheerio,
Cliffardo
