Thanks for putting in the latest copy of Escape from America. Some really good stuff in there.
The Healthcare is Killing America article was eye opening for even me. The writer had a broken arm. The cost in a USA Hospital $100K. Here I doubt you could spent $1,500.00 USD uninsured here in Tepic, Mexico?
I recently had a friend come down from Boulder Colorado to stay. He figured he could come down here for a second opinion on a matter to do with his back and have a vacation to boot. Airfare
Othropaedist Specialist (2 visits) and X-Rays and
6 nights in Mazatlan to boot including Airfare only around $1,000.00.
Even though he has Medical Insurance in USA ( I refuse to call what they have up there even Insurance as the client ends up paying most of it!) Well he doesn't qualify for Medicare yet as he's only 64. He pay's $900.00 per month and at
that has a $1500.00 Deductible before they even
start paying anything ( See why I refuse to call it Insurance?). Then he has co-payments, etc.
He saw one of the very best Orthopaedist Specialists (2 visits), who even gave him Rehab. and exercises to go home and told him no surgery was needed and X-Rays on his back for about $180.00 USD! What he pays a month for Medical Insurancecovers my wife and I on IMSS, medicines too for a year!
It's scarry up their in the good ole broken USA!
