Hola all you expatriate patriots,
Did I ever tell you about being married to the world's best interior decorator??? It started in 1973 when I met Alice and since then our abodes have been a myriad of what I can truthfully call 'heavenly'...It now seems appropriate that, when I was living in Edinburgh, Scotland from 1956 to 1958, one of my favorite songs was Fat's Domino's rendition of 'My Blue Heaven'...In case you think that we're talking amateur here when it comes to decorating, let me remind you that Alice had a illustrious professional career as a decorator including a business of her/our own in the 70's that was quite successful...We wandered all over central California making homes beautiful with my position similiar to that of a Star's business agent and Alice the star that left behind legacies of design that probably are still making families happy to this day...You see, I can babble on without talking about myself once in awhile...Alice decorated everything from churches to city halls to model homes to vacation homes to castles to those homes where kids are just getting started and left them all happier than they thought humanly possible...In order to keep up with my queen I had to open a store that had 1000 patterns of wallpaper in stock...Was called Wall-Mart before there was a Walmart...I probably brought this up before but the great part of being ancient and forgetful is that it's Ok to be a repeater instead of just a single-shot...Life's OK, a bouquet of memories that we tuck away in those backroads that Glen sang about so 'gentle on our minds'... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DsqDc3cy7w&feature=related
I have done my share of chores this morning and am about to call the bank in California and handle some pressing financial matters i.e. getting more pesos down hereabouts...Surprisingly, I am already fully dressed and ready for whatever comes this fine looking Wednesday...ChaChi is getting better day by day and Luke is getting more and more tired of ChaChi seemingly getting all the attention...I try to explain that ChaChi is sick but Luke ain't buyin' it...
Yesterday Alice and I returned back to the Real Don Juan Hotel and had a delightful time eating very good culinary offerings that stretched from traditional breakfast items to hardcore mexican comida...We ran the gamut...What fun life is!!!
I guess I'd better get out the briefcase, once a month nowadays, and see if somebody will talk to me at our financial institution...Then it's Vip's for coffee and a good periodical read...Have a great day one and all...
Cheers,
Cliffardo
