If wishes were fishes I'd soon have a creel full at the Upper Truckee River (picture below)...The last time I fished this stream I caught and released 125 cuttroat and rainbow trout within' five hours of flippin' out my favorite dry fly, that being a Royal Coachman...A perfect day my way is fishing in the high sierras at an elevation over 10,000 feet where beauty can overwhelm you at every turn...Majestic fits...
I'm up and have just returned from hangin' out a pretty good wash that may or may not have to be brought back in before it's time if the rain continues to do it's thing as it did yesterday...It was as if somebody was turning a 'rain' switch on and off all day...Amazingly enough, we do have a system we put in place during the rainy season that results in the clothes getting dry by the next morning...We just don't wash anything!!! JaJaHaHa...Just kiddin'...Anyway, the 'system' seems to work and that's all a fella can ask for...A system that works, externally and internally...JaJaHaHa...
Yesterday, after I returned once again from the place where Ralph the mechanic resides (and the place where it seems I have been living lately), Alice and I went over to Chili's for our comida and I had a great Cobb salad again whilst Alice went for the tomato basil pasta dish...We started with potato-bacon chowder and signed off once again with their baked cinnamon apple and vanilla ice cream creation...All in all, a fullfilling and somewhat rewarding culinary experience...You'd think that after 35 years of being together Alice and I would run out of things to talk about but that's not gonna happen anytime soon...Bank on that!!! We're both still trying to get a word in edgewise and nobody wants the other to get the last one either, word that is...Alice always gets my last french fried potato...
Oh, in case you care, I now have the Mustang idling smooth enough to not care if it isn't perfect...I guess with over 300,000 miles and 16 years on it, it can have a hitch in the get-a-long as we all do sooner or later...Sigh!!!
