Hola all you expatriate patriots,
I don't really know just what happened to the board but we are now back at about 75% of what once was so here it comes right at ya, I hope(knock wood)...I have to go back to Sunday as that's when the computer and Boardhost trouble began...Mother's Day was a super day and Alice and I decided to go out to Chili's for our comida to celebrate this auspicious occasion and we were greeted with a perky red rose for the Mother as we sat down to feast...Chili's was wall to wall with Mothers of every size, shape and description...Alice had her favorite 'citrus fire grilled' shrimp and chicken dish whilst I went for a delicious hamburger with all the trimmings...This celebration started with a helping of boneless chicken wings...We found it very interesting that not only did every Mother receive a beautiful red rose as they entered but also received a tall bottle of beer at the entrance...It seemed rather humorous to see grandmothers, mothers and 'mothers to be' all walking to their tasble with a rose in one hand and a bottle of beer in the other...Only in Mexico???
Monday we also returned to Chili's and Alice again went for her favorite 'citrus fire grilled' shrimp and chicken dish whilst I went for a chicken caesar salad...Again we had a delightful time and went home culinarily satisfied...Tuesday we stayed homne as I had wrenched my back somehow and was in no mood to play around...Sometimes I forget that the old grey stallion ain't what he used to be...Anyway, Alice saved the day with delicious tuna fish sandwiches along with sweet pickles, olives and Pringle's potato chips...Yesterday Alice and I veered off to Zedupan (or something like that) over by the Sorianna shopping center and went for their Wednesday oriental buffet complete with shrimp chow mein and pork fried rice and buffalo wings and cheese balls (tasteless cheese by our standards) and assorted sushi offerings...They even had the real McCoy fortune cookies with english fortunes on one side of the insert and spanish on the other...Very tasty, good service and friendly...A good change of pace...
The rest of the week was partially spent trying to get my car running without a darned 'miss' that is quite significent but no one can seem to find a 'for sure' reason for...We are now lookin' at the catalytic converter or the ignition coil as all else seems to check out as OK...Oh well, gotta have something to worry about I guess...Life can be like mercury in your hand...You think you have it under control here and it moves over there...It beats the alternative though, no life that is...
Well as per usual, I have things to do and places to see and a household to hold on to, so, if you can, join me at Vip's this morning for coffee, or, if not, just have a super day and I'll talk to ya later...Sure is gettin' hot these says...Takes the starch right out of your shirt...Must be really somethin' along the humidity belt...
Cheerio and adios,
Cliffardo
