Hola all you expatriate patriots,
It happens to be that day when at precisely 12:00pm you should be able to see the light at the end of the workweek tunnel...Wednesday was the day when I started to plan my weekly escape from 'work', known backward as 'krow', which I interpreted as flying straight out of town to our beloved Carmel and friends Doris (Day) and Clint (Eastwood) and Kim (Novak) as fast as our coche would take us...Carmel was our home away from home as well as that place over the rainbow that Judy sang about...
Last night I got around to painting a few places around our house that needed a 'touchup' and that took a few hours as moving furniture always accompanies this kind of endeavor...Today I have returned back to the normal household chores that one does if they are truly partners with their significant others...There are rumors afloat that there are those who think that housework is beneath them but that's their problem, not mine...Sharin' and carin' and that means the load folks...Side by side!!!
Alice and Sylvia are heading out for a day 'on the town' today and are doing what was commonly known in the work-world as multi-tasking I guess...Since I became voluntarily unemployed 10 years ago, I have tried to avoid the 'multi' part...One task a day is more than enough...I think Sylvia and my queen will be heading to Venicia for a little bit of Italian cuisine as a way of recharging their batteries......More power to them as they set out on one of those 'girl's day out' routines...Yesterday Alice and I went to Chili's and I had a 'Bigmouth' bacon and cheese burger with fries whilst Alice had a chicken caesar ensalada...Both dishes were very good and the service at our appointed culinary rest-stop was terrific as always...
Well, they say that time waits for no one so I guess I'd better finish getting ready to jump on today's trolley of life as I don't want to miss one cotton-pickin' thing...I hope your day brings you happiness and all that jazz...See ya at Vip's??? Hope so!!!
Cheerio and adios,
Cliffardo
