Hola all you expatriate patriots,
School's out and they say that things will not return to normal until after the 19th...When I was a wee broth of a lad, we had nothing off for Easter but that didn't deter the Easter Bunny from putting baskets of colored eggs and other goodies around the house and we also had one of the best family picnics each year held on Easter Sunday up in the foothills on Grandfather's Jenny Lind property...Nostalgia, thy is the leader of my personal band...
I am up and at 'em like any red-blooded domesticated animal...If you think you have it tough, consider what my Grandmother had to contend with at the casa in Nome, Alaska, at around 1906 when she was a 16 year old mother of my aunt and, five years later at the ripe ole age of 21, my mother (picture below)...Now that's what a pioneer lady was all about my friends...
Yesteray, Alice and I went over to Chili's around 12:00pm for an early comida and my lady had a boneless buffalo chicken salad and I had a mesquite salad, both exceptionally good...Later Alice went to a Holy Communion Fiesta for the grandaughter of a good neighbor friend where all the stops were pulled out as far as good food and comradery were concerned...I spent this time holding down the fort and also buying another throw pillow, this time for my recliner...The old one I had was rejected by the resident health department, namely my queen...
I guess I'd better move along now as I feel a cuppa coffee comin' on and I'd better not keep it waitin'...Have a super day today and, once again, I'll talk to ye laddies and lassies later...
Cheerio,
Cliffardo the Flying Scot...
