Hola all you lovers of the good life SOTB,
I think to myself, what a wonderful world...I am sittin' pretty here in the computer room accompanied by my faithful companion Luke who is fast asleep over on the loveseat...Alice and ChaChi are still in 'big bed' watchin' DVR TV recordings (Jeopardy as we speak) that keep my queen up to date as far as the 'big scene' is concerned... Somebody's got to do it and my editor and chief is the obvious choice...While Alice was doing by-lines in local Sacramento Newspapers, I was throwing my line (complete with a Royal Coachman fly attached) over to the eddy that hid that 17" german brown lunker up on ole Blue Creek...That was my way of keeping up to date...The way I see it, as long as the likes of CNN only sell trash and misery then I will not be an active participant as I prefer the rose colored glasses way of doing things...I repeat, what a wonderful world...
I have done my best to be a good scout even though I never made it past my cubbie bear badge but I always remain 'prepared'...Mexico keeps you on your toes as it truly is an adventure each and every day...Alice and I figure it's the adventure that keeps us young at heart even when the indigenous potholes are out to get us...I always liked hiking to above the timberline as the view of life after you challenge yourself is truly exhilarating...
Yesterday Alice and I went back to Chili's for another comida of a 'guiltless chicken platter' for Alice and a 'mesquite chicken salad' for moi...Delicioso!!! Not sure where we will light today when it comes to our daily culinary repast, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it as long as my lifetime companion is there to share it with me...Sharing is what life is all about...I think if I were the Lone Ranger, I'd of gone over and convinced Cyd Charisse or Debra Paget to share the 'silver cave' with me and Silver instead of sharing it with Tonto and Scout...Maybe grinning ear to ear all the time would have limited the masked rider of the plains as far as his effectiveness while bringing law and order to the wild west!!!
I must move along now as I still have things to do and places to see...I wish you all bluebirds but, most of all, I wish you love...A little syrupy you say??? Hey, you should see my hotcakes...
