Hola all you lovers of life as we know it SOTB,
Alice left on Friday for Nuevo Vallarta and returned yesterday around 4:00pm and, boy, was she a welcome sight for these ole sore eyes...Alice and I have been married 35 years and most of that time has been spent together one way or another...I truly enjoy her company even though we both have very strong personalities and we are not always on the same page but ths is our book and we are booked for life...That was the agreement made on July 21st in 1973 and so it is written, so it shall be done, come heck or high water, low road or high road, trials and tribulations, we are in for the long haul, side by side!!! Happily ever after!!!

After her return, Alice decided that I looked a little emaciated from only eating hotdogs for 5 days and decided I needed to go to the new oriental feeding grounds in the Soriana area with the weird name of Zoduken and so, after a short drive, we both had another round of their fine cuisine starting with great hot (picante) chicken wings followed up by an order of their novel approach to pork and chicken chow mein and fried rice...Were it not for a superb chef, this restaurant would be in name only as it is run by a bunch of kids (about six standing around at any one time) who obviously don't know what service in an eatery is all about...They are nice enough but you have to ask for everthing, and I mean everything, from utensils to napkins to ice, you name it, and, if it is part of a plain old table setting, you have to ask for it over and over again...This strain so far is worth the pain though but only because the chef is one of Tepic's finest...Looks like daddy's money turned this place into a hangout for his kids and their friends who want to sit around and play the "look at me', I'm a restaurant owner" game...That's a turnoff to those of us who want to enjoy serious dining and hopefully this restaurant will not turn into a noisy sports-bar as so many eventually do...I think sometimes the restaurant part of these kind of new places is really only a cover for the three TV bar and kid's watering hole (and singles bar) that they eventually become...We shall see!!! Sigh, good food truly is wasted on the youth...
Now that things are back in order here at Casa Anderson, I'd better get myself on over to a nice little place where good coffee is enjoyed...Have a great day today and we'll talk to ya later...
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
