Hola all you expatriate patriots,
Well we brought in our 35 years of marriage in grand style, namely eating outselves into oblivion and driving way too much as that ole Hwy 200 is a pill that's hard to swallow and if you go as far as Nuevo Vallarta and back on the same day, I can guarantee that your nerves will be frazzled if not frayed...It takes going down to sweatsville in July once in a while to make me appreciate just how lucky we are to be living in Tepiclandia...Guy Mitchel sang a song called 'One of the Roving Kind' and the lyric said, 'her hair hung down in 'ring-a-lets'...

...Well, my sweat was coming down in rivulets...Every mile we drove toward our hilly home reduced the temperature and humidity and by the time we made it back to Tepic we were cool once more...Dehydrated but cool at last...Ahhhhhhhhh, home....
Now for the good stuff...We had breakfast at a place called the Pancake house, or something close, at the Paradise Village shopping center in Nuevo Vallarta and had dinner at the Vista Guayabitos restaurant...A magnificient view of the ocean and the coastline...It was fun to get out and let the pony (Mustang) stretch her legs but it's a bit much for this old guy and next time I hope we stay somewhere with good air-conditioning for a day or two or four (IN PUERTO VALLARTA) as that's too much driving just to fiddle around for a couple of hours and come home the same day...I must have had 40,000 cars and ugly trucks and speeding buses pass me going like a bat out of hades comin' and goin' back and forth...Put that together with the trucks ahead of you who absolutely refuse to pull over when they slow down to 3mph going uphill, and I am lookin' for the Excedrin...Oh well, I'm back home now and that's all that counts...Next time remind me to take my salt tablets, will ya??? I'm not going to talk about the food at these places as they both served what I call average fare and that does not make for a critique...
As Scarlett said, "tomorrow is another day" and tomorrow is now today so I'm looking forward once more to what this day has to offer...See ya at Vip's???
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
