Hola all you landlubbers livin' the good life SOTB,
We almost had to get in a boat yesterday as the darnest storm to hit the scene since hurricane Kenna (2002) came rollin' through these here parts...Yesterday's storm dropped buckets of rain and had a wind that had to be over 50mph along with hail of all things...That's right!!! HAIL!!! Not tiny hail but somewhere between a peso and two peso size...At first, when the hail started hitting the plastic cover to the skylight, I thought someone was on my roof hammering away at something...Low and behold, hail in July in Mexico...Will wonders never cease...The river that was flowing down our street could have floated a skiff and maybe even a rowboat...
Anyway, a different more normal rain is with us today and is droppin' quite a bit right now as we speak...I have stripped the bed and the linens have all been washed, along with the dainties and the masculinities...We have enough in the linen closet to get us through if an outside hangin' is not a possibility today...I have freshened up the furball's service centers and put away the dishes from yesterday's Sunday feast...Speaking about feasts, yesterday Alice made another of her wonderful tortiglioni pasta dishes with her famous tomato and pesto pasta sauce and, with the black olives, arrachera slices and freshly grated parmesan cheese along for the ride, we dined on Italian food for the gods...Alice makes the best pasta known to mortal man and Zeus as well...
I guess I shall be walking over to have a cuppa Joe soon providing the creeks subside and the rain slows down to what an umbrella can handle, trickle size that is...Someday, when you're feeling young and adventurous, you should come on over around 7:30am and join in the coffee-o-rama!!! Oh, by the way, we still have the Trojan downloader held captive in the quarantine depot so the computer is acting like a kid again...I now run a scan every morning to keep those pesky malicious spyware dumb-dumbs at bay...Right now, they haven't decided how to kill it, so it stays in solitary confinement (knock wood)...Have a good day one and all!!!
