Hola all you expatriate patriots,
I find when Alice is on location I have time to spare so I decided to go down to Transito yesterday to get my driver's license renewed and, because I am now 71, was greeted with the information that I would need a physical if I were going to get my license...Talk about falling out of a tree...One minute you're flying high, the next you're feelin' very old...I don't think of myself as being old until someone tells me I'm old and then I get depressed which requires immediate action so I went over to OXXO and got two cappaccino granitas...These tasty treats did quiet me down...Old be damned...I'm still a kid and cute at that...That's what Alice would say and I'm stickin' to it...Anyway, I passed my physical (cost 45 pesos) with flying colors and now have a driver's license good through 2011...A reason to stay alive...I also went to two cleaning/laundry establishments yesterday to get three comforters and one duvet washed...I started out with two comforters and my favorite place was still closed at 9:00am so I found another place that was happy to have my business...I then, when I went to pick these items up, went by the place that was still closed at 9:00am (any laundry that is closed at 9:00am is losing business) and dropped off another comforter and the king-size duvet as that down (feather) stuffing stuff takes a little different service...They'll be ready this afternoon...Oh, before I forget, I took ChaChi and little Luke to the vet to get them groomed yesterday and, at 5:00pm, went and picked up two strange lookin' dogs that were not the ones I originally left...The vet always does this to us...Each time I come home with two different dogs...Much smaller but vaguely similiar...
I cannot dally today as I have the awesome responsibility of running Casa Anderson all by myself which takes an amazing amount of time and energy...I wonder what I can do today that I have been putting off, aside from the usual chores that I usually have...I wonder what mischief Alice is getting into in Bucerias with her chum Gail...Some people have all the luck and some wait up on the widow's walk for their love to come home...'For I live on the shady side of the mountain and Alice is on the sunny side of the hill'...I won't go into my bachelor's menu as that's about as exciting as watching proverbial paint dry...Let's just say that hot-dogs (and other dogs) rule...Hey mister, got any Poupon???

Well, I'd best be moving along as I have a date with a banker at 7:00am and a Vip's waitress at 7:30am...Have a good one folks...Friday is close at hand...
Cheerio and adios,
Cliffardo
