Is it possible that the painter took the plate off to protect it when you had the old Pony in the shop, then just forgot to put it back on?
Just a thought!
All is just fine down here in Maz, 'though we'd appreciate it if you'd send some of your rain down to us. We've been teased by the clouds occasionally, but nothing to dampen our garden yet.
