...After a Sunday that was other than good...Indescribable fits...
Hola all you worshipers of life extraordinaire south of the border,
It all started innocently enough yesterday by Alice and I getting up and heading over to Estancia for their super Sunday buffet that was as super as always right down to the last hotcake and strip of bacon...Then there was the trip over to The Forum Shopping Center after we took Alice over on a little side trip to get a quick cut and style...So far, so good... It was a nice and relaxing trip to the Forum with visions of granita's, or something similiar, dancing in our heads...Still so far, so good...After arriving and parking, we started looking for signs of new store openings and an appropriate place to get refreshments...We finally decided on Ariela again where Alice and I both enjoyed refreshing chilled beverages while we were sitting out on some nice and comfortable furniture in the Forum's center for various and assorted eateries...After relaxing for about 30 minutes, we decided it was time to head home by way of the Forum's Sanborn's store...While we were getting into our newly painted pony, Alice asked me if we were without license plates in the rear for a reason...Thinking she was kidding, I took a look and , low and behold, our California license plate in the back was gone...Thinking that it might have fallen off, Alice and I quickly retraced our steps from the time we left the casa to the time we arrived at the forum to no avail...Thinking that it must have been stolen or taken by a cop, we went to the Policia Judicial del Estado (PJE) office as we were told that this is where you reported a missing license plate...Upon arrival, we were told that we should go over to Transito as they might have taken it off, although there seemed to be no reason for this to be the case...Upon arrival at Transito, a nice guy named Lau called around and we were told that no license plates has been lifted by the Transito guys and we should go back to Policia Judicial del Estado (PJE) and get in a missing plate report to protect ourselves in case it had been stolen and murderers or thieves were going to use it to help them have their way...Lau also told Alice that we should probably use a 'notario' to avoid problems at PJE...At this point, an undaunted Alice took over the proceedings and led the charge to PJE, as she has far more patience than moi and her english is also better understood by the natives than mine, and, after about two hours, we left the nice lady at PJE with a form in hand to appease anyone who might stop us because we have no license plate attached to the back of our pony...Alice handled the whole thing so well that we had no choice other than to take her out to a nice comida, now we're talking 5:00pm, and so we headed over to Frigata where Alice had pescado el dorado whilst I had their 'arrachera especial'...I still had some breakfast in my tank but my arrachera was delicious so I ate the whole thing...To say our day was turned upside down, after the loss of our plate, would be a gigantic understatement...I still haven't figured out where to get another plate but we still have one so that should be OK for awhile...If someone did take it then a pox upon them...Either way, life goes on and we go along with it as we really don't have a choice...Mexico, the land where you can't take anything for granted...
I have put together this message for today a little earlier than usual and, later on, maybe I'll see ya at Vip's at coffee time...Either way, have a great day...
Adios and cheerio,
Cliffardo
