Living the Dream!!! Posted by Cliff on 4/28/2008, 6:27 amMessage modified by board administrator 4/28/2008, 6:44 am But A Dreamer I am but a dreamer- Dreaming dreams for all my life, I’d rather hold the wistful thoughts Of radiance and light I am but a dreamer- An anxious seeking seer, I drift in restless reverie Spinning cotton to cashmere. I am but a dreamer- Seeking refuge for my dreams, I’d rather hold the whispered hopes That flow in desert streams. I am but a dreamer- A fool, I’ve heard some say, But I hear the tongues of troubadours Join me when I pray-- The mind is but a haven, A dwelling place for dreams, A pocket for redeeming thoughts, A place that’s evergreen. And the heart is but a harbor, To dock our buoyant soul, And share with all our passion, The dreams that make us whole... Sharon Frye ******************************************************************************* Hola all you languishing ladds and lassies out there living the retirement dream, Would ya believe that April will be over before this new week is??? My how time flies when you're having fun!!! Today is the 'beeg' get everything ready for the housekeeper day and I have done my part by getting all the bed linens in the Whirlpool and putting everything in it's place as I see my place... I am a neatnik so it is my natural way of doing business anyway...Disarray and I could not live together...Alice is also one who cares about how things look and organizes accordingly...None of that pickin' up behind someone else in this casa...I learned the word 'pigsty' early on as that was what my mother told Dad and I that she would refuse to live in and Dad and I responded by being good little Lord Fauntleroys, clean behind the ears, socks and underwear picked up and 99 and 99/100% pure as the driven snow...Two bars of Ivory Snow floatin' through mother's world...No mustaches or beards allowed either unless we were at our cabin where the only thing feminine was the picture of Irish McCalla, aka Sheena Queen of the Jungle, that I had hidden behind the cans of Van Camp's pork and beans...Hey, that picture from Argosy was what dreams were made of when I was an apprentice laddie ...She was my kind of Tarzan and I looked for her everyday in the jungles of the High Sierras where the cabin is located... Yesterday Alice and I stayed home and took advantage of that which has been ordained as the 'day of rest' and we both rested professionally...Alice put together the best darned chicken caesar salad that anyone could ever ask for and this was the main attraction of the day aside from those westerns that I managed to squeeze in before and after this main culinary happening...The rest of the day was spent 'Sunday snackin' as that's what Sundays are for, right??? Right on!!! I hope that you all have a great day today and I hope you'll excuse me as I have some clothes and stuff to hang up outside right now if I am to get to Vip's on time for my Monday coffee...Those old timers in the picture above remind me of some of the coffee klatch gang I'm affiliated with...See ya!!!
