Hi all,
You might try Estancia at Jacarandas 124 (taxi) or El Quincho at Av Preparatoria 33 (taxi). The Quincho selection at about $100 pesos on the top left in the same section of the menu as the 'paradilla' is located is the favorite of meat lovers in these parts. Cliff and I usually share the paradilla for two but it's a lot of meat if you're not big meat eaters....
Vip's is at the Walmart Shopping Center as part of their parking area as they (Walmart) own it...It is not within walking distance of LaLoma...Taxis take you anywhere for 20 pesos daytime and early evening and 25 pesos late nightime, fixed rate...
If you want something traditonal and somewhat touristy Mexican closeby, turn left out of the front of LaLoma and turn left again on Insurgentes, the first cross street, and you'll come to Chero's...About one block total walk...Tasty fajitas and stuff...Olay!!!
Have fun and don't miss the LaLoma Park across the street from your hotel...Very special...
Alice
