Hola all you expatriate patriots,
It's 'Hump Day' and at precisely 12:00pm you should be able to see the light at the end of the workweek tunnel...Half of Tepic is still out of town for the Pascua part of the Easter observance so the streets remain a pleasure to drive around in for a few more days anyway...I like ghost towns and that ilk...Alice and I have already had a confrontation over who starts the rinse water in the ole Whirlpool and she won today as she was first to the lid atop the tuberoo...At least I got to start the wash and eventually hang 'em high......My new recliner has settled in quite well and it is a real pleasure to recline supinely on...ChaChi and little luke have already figured out how to jump up on this lazy boy's toy and sit on my chest whenever they deem it necessary...Now when people ask, "where's Cliff"???, the answer is "reclining after dining", thank you very much...
Yesterday Alice and I went over to the hallowed halls of Jalisco and had another platter of their delicious puerco carnitas sided by some cabbage and red onions and tortillas and assorted salsas...I had several hand-made tortas until my share of the pork platter was history...They know how to cook the carnitas just right...Juicy and tasty and now history!!! All for 88 pesos...That included a Sprite and a Diet Coke with mucho ice...Dessert was at Casa Anderson and Alice had coconut ice cream whilst I had the famous nut and almond stuff...Nestles Nut and Almond is not as good as the Holanda brand but all ice cream is good, some just better than others...ChaChi and little Luke had their usual ration of chicken breast served under the table...
Well now, a little banking by way of Telmex at 7:00am and I shall be off to Vip's for my coffee and newspaper read...All of the local gazettes are back in business again...Yesterday I had the pleasure of George's company at the ole gringo coffee booth and we had a grand old time talking about everything from the presidential candidates to the way we would run the financial markets plus, and more importantly, some college football including George's LSU of course...Seems they are taking on the famous giant killer Appalachian State as the season opener...Have a great day from mornin' to night, alright??? See ya!!!
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
