Hola all you members of the Inner Circle of Adventurers, Wayfarers and Wanderers,
Once upon a time I would have been bringin' in the milk and getting ready for the Saturday matinee at the Fox-California in Stockton, California...Seems a millenium ago...Thanks to rich Aunt Nen and her after-party bottle collection that always included a couple of those big 5 cent return ones, me and my wagon were always able to convert a $.25 cent allowance into a $.50 to $.60 pocket of change which meant I could have all the popcorn and Milk Duds and Good And Plentys that this wee heart desired...This helped quell the worry before the posse and Wild-Bill Elliot arrived on the scene to save the day...
I am up and have already got a washload ready to be up and hangin' out there in our back laundry area...The water is working just fine now (knock wood) so the ongoing worry about running out of water each morning is slowly subsiding...The pump went on and off as it was and is supposed to do!!! Hallelujah!!! Alice is still sound asleep and the furballs are buried under the covers where it's nice and toasty...Creature comforts for sure...Excuse the delay but I just got back from hangin' the wash...Alice is now up and dismayed that I beat her to this daily chore that I call mine but Alice, in turn, calls hers...I'm still fast on my feet!!!
Yesterday Alice had wanted to go to a new chinese place that she had heard about from her friend Martha that is either called 'Manderin' or 'Comida China' but it was not open as early as we thought so we went back to 'Jalisco' instead and had another round of their delicious pork carnitas...After stuffing ourselves with a half kilo of their delicious pork, we went back to the chinese joint and put in an order for Sunday which we will pick up at about 12:30pm...They have a Kung Pao shrimp dish along with a house fried rice that is supposedly out of this world..We shall see!!! Ain't life a hoot!!!
Well, off to Vip's and then off to a nice breakfast I hope!!! Got to start the Super Bowl countdown now in order to get into the junk food mood that makes the game palatable in as much as none of my teams go there anymore...Joe Montana, "where are ye laddie???"
