While speaking of American Food - do you do Dutch's Sub Shop? I've not heard you mention it?
Yesterday I met Joe to discuss a sortie in the Selva. I was hankering for some American Food too, but wanted a Sub. I then remembered that Bob (was it?) and Annabelle, the all time champions of knowing how to live well in Tepic on a dime had shown us.
He's located at Mina 285 Pte (or west), between Aves. Leon and Mazatlan. Not far from the Big Municipal Teatro. His website is www.dutchs.com.mx and he has take out and delivery. Ph: 213-7272.
I hadn't been there since 2004 and I think they have greatly increased their menu. Besides being the closest thing, that I think you will find to an American Sub Shop in Nayarit he has expanded his faire now to include 12 different salads, fajitas, as well as his usual hamburgers, pizza, nachos and great postres.
We both had a sub combo. Mine came with great steak fries with the skins still on. We were treated with his sitting down and conversing with us for about ten minutes. He speaks excellent English, and you might confuse him with a Gringo. His Mom is a Gringo and his dad a Tepicqueno.
See you morning again at VIPs now that the Fiesta season is starting to slow down.
