I'm a happy man
I made my choice in life
I chose to settle down
I chose to take a wife
And I take pleasure in my quiet hearth
And happy home
I never gave my heart
It's chance to roam
I could have been a sailor
And sailed the seven seas
The wind in my face all day
Can you taste the salty breeze?
I could have been a lover
Watchin' waves before me part
But I settled for safer harbors
Of my heart
I'm a lucky man
I'm the envy of my peers
Never ask for favors
And I never show my fears
Surrounded by too many friends
I am a one-man band
With all the trappings of
A life lived second-hand
I could have been a sailor
Rollin' through the night
My sails before the wind
And the stars my only light
I could have been a dreamer
But dreams just fall apart
So, I settled for safer harbors
Of my heart...
Glenn Yarbrough and Maureen McGovern both sang this ditty and made you want to wander and roam far away from the old folks at home...Ah, the salty breeze, how I love thee and how I also love my happy home...'Together' is a million dollar word...
Hola all you expatriate patriots,
I am up and have done my early morning chores and also made sure I was somewhat presentable when I go out and play 'Gringo'...Scrape the face and wash what you can reach and get the furball's stations cleaned up and ready for these two to enjoy life as a 4-legged vagabond...A dog's life ain't bad at Casa Anderson...They pretty much run the show...
Yesterday I convinced Alice to put her fine cuisine expectations on the back burner whilst we go over to Burger King and enjoy a couple of down and dirty Whopper Combos...After we got there, Alice through me a curve by wanting a chicken caesar ensalada which, to me, is like ordering guacamole at Baskin-Robbins...Oh well, whatever flosts your boat...More fries for me!!! We did both end this culinary excursion together though as we polished off two 6in. high vanilla frosties as a final tribute to the fast food world with cones held high!!! Together again!!!
I soon will be trapsing over to Vip's, my first safe harbor of the day, and I hope that you just might find the time make it over there as well...If you are so inclined, I'll keep a three quarters of the booth open for ye lads and lassies...
Cheerio for now,
Cliffardo
