Hola all you members of the Inner Circle of Adventurers, Wayfarers and Wanderers,
I hope that this day finds you all happy and healthy and lookin' forward to whatever adventure awaits us on this 10th day of the new year, 2008...I like even numbers so this year should be a good one(knock wood)...No, I'm not superstitious, just cautious...I cover all the bases...I have already helped Alice hang up her wash that she started last night and I'm about ready to go out an hang up today's duds as well...Alice is in bed as we speak watching the People's Choice Awards that I taped for her...Whatever floats your boat...I have mowed the stubblefields and have also gone through my own wash and rinse cycle...The Whirlpool has nothing on me...If mama could only see me now...Aye, I can see me mother out back in the laundry room on Elm Street with the old ringer-washer under Herr Helga's control...Life hasn't really changed that much, only the toys are better...I still clean the venetian blinds slat by slat and still wish I was out playing 'pick-up baseball' instead...Did I tell you I managed a baseball team in Santa Rosa...Played pitcher as well...I had speed with no control and was pretty good as a result as no righthanded fellows could stand at the plate seeing my left-handed sidearm comin' at 'em!!! JaJaJaJaJa...I fashioned my side-arm delivery after Ewell Blackwell, affectionately called 'The Whip'...If the curveball broke, the batter lived another day...If not...Oh well, such is the life of a ballplayer...

Yesterday was Burger King day and Alice and I were there early to make sure that they didn't run out of Whoppers with bacon and cheese and those finely boiled in oil fries...They didn't and we did...We finished this junk food extravaganza with a couple of vanilla frosties...Another round of dessert (coconut ice cream and chocolate chip cookies) was held for the furball's benefit after we returned home, all this after walking through the Parisina fabric store and buying 9 meters of fabric for another round of goodies that Manuelolita will be making for Alice soon...Life goes on, thank goodness!!!
Also yesterday, at Vip's, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting with with Dee and Jim from Minnesota who are spending two months down Guayabitos way and are also spending a couple of days at the LaLoma Hotel here in Tepiclandia...We had a grand ole time getting acquainted while sippin' coffee and eating omelettes and hotcakes...What fun!!! Hope to see you at Vip's this morning...
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
