Hola Debra;
Well in answer to your questions.
1. I don't think the hounds will pose much of a problem for you. Heck, people even keep dogs on their roofs in some areas. Most of the housing areas houses share an adjacent wall and front on the street like in old Europe. So you keep your dogs in the courtyard, garden or roof.
2. Actually you can acess one of the local newspapers here on Cliffardo's very site that we are on. It's near the top of his Tepic Journal below where he has Tepic Pictures. "Daily Tepic Newspapers". There at the top of their Web Site you click on “Casas en Renta”, or something like that. Today they have 3-4 houses for rent. The biggest local
Paper with the most amount of adds here in Tepic is the “Mediano”.
3. Cliffardo knows about houses for rent in his neighborhood of Cde. de Valle which is a real nice neighborhood. Most of these are detached houses like in the states, just thinner lots than in the USA...
The Tepic Home owners are more interested in you as renters, that are Gringo's with a solid source of Income and or Pensions AND are used to paying your rent on time - so they don't have to chase you down each month for their money, than if you have hounds or not. Cliffardo rents and he has two hounds.
Cuyler
