Hola all you expatriate patriots,
There never is a dull moment living the good life in paradise and that's what makes it an adventure and adventures are what keeps us young at heart and mind and hopes that the body follows suit...I have already hung out the wash which included the front curtains that ChaChi and Luke soil with the sweat of their brow jumping up on the sofa table and lookin' out the window...These furballs are French and Maltese trained security poodles and very good at what they do...If you think they're not serious about defending their castle, you'd better check your ankles at the door before you try a forced entry to avoid massive injury...ChaChi and Luke work as a tandem in the Knute Rockne style of 'hit 'em high and hit 'em low'...I have also mowed the stubblefields this morning and have dashed through the Waterpic shower head's 'go-flo' so I am gleaned and cleaned and ready to take on this third day of 2008, namely the day after 'Hump Day', the day when at 12:00pm you could first see the light at the end of the workweek tunnel...
Yesterday Alice and I started to follow our New Year's resolutions by going over to Las Palomas and having soup and a chef salad, about 10,000 calories less that that we were accustomed to during Santa's reign from Thanksgiving to the 2nd of January...My body asked, "what's goin' on here???" but the mind felt better after the fact and I walked a little lighter on the feetzies...The beginning of a new me or, better yet, the return of the svelt one...Take your pick...We even went so far as to give extra calories that were sittin' dormant in the refrigerator waiting to pounce to others more deserving and who didn't seem to be waddling around like walking sausages like we are at this time...Give us a week and you'll be starting to see the ship shaping up!!!
I hope that I might have the pleasure of your company for Coffee at Vip's this morning after I get through with my early banking and can get over there...About 7:30am I reckon...Alice is going back to her dentist today at 9:30am to continue with her root-canal saga along with her friend Sylvia and daughter Sylvia Paulina...I prefer to sit this one out at Vip's as coffee is definitely more satisfying going into the oral orifice than a darned drill and pick!!! My life's work for three years was devoted to getting thee lookin' pretty when I was an oral hygienist...That was about as much as I needed to know about the ends and outs of that game...Couldn't see myself doing that for the long haul...Fun while it lasted though as I was in Scotland at the time and was only around 19yrs young when life is just about as good as it gets when it comes to that early part we refer to as being 'foot loose and fancy free'. Lot's of pretty girls in Scotland but it took a girl from Sacramento to stop this bachelor dead in his tracks...Alice and I grew up forty miles apart but it took working for the same company to get us together...Thanks Weinstock's, we couldn't have done it without ya!!!
See ya at Vip's??? Hope so!!!
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
