Hola all you expatriate patriots,
(1)I will not eat 20 hot-dogs on game day anymore without first making sure that there are plenty of buns, mustard and onions around...
(2)I will be nice to everyone all year long even if they have mysteriously disappeared, especially Dallas, Pittsburg and Greenbay fans...
(3)I will go out to everyplace that Alice want's to dine at without asking her after the penquin suited waiter takes our gold-plated order, "I wonder if it's crowded at Burger King right now???"...
(4) For Alice's sake, I will not call Oprah fat or Dr. Phil a fat bully that needs to go to a meat packing plant, as long as she's listening that is...
(5)I promise that I will not turn off CNN and tell Alice that the digital receiver is broken anymore, when she's watchin' that is...
(6) I promise that I will not say that Katie Couric's makeup looks like a pancake waiting for the Log Cabin...
(7) I promise that I won't say anymore Hillary jokes, when Alice's listening that is...
(8) I promise that I will try and say Spanish instead of Mexican when asked what the language is that I am always mutilating...
(9) I promise that I will be a good boy, especially if I get a toy from time to time...
(10) I promise Alice that I will stop using 'earthy adjectives' that I learned growing up as a waif in military confinement from 1955 to 1959...
(11) Last but not least, I will not block all the posters to this board that do not agree with me except for the small percentage that is allowed by law...I am not at liberty to say what that percentage is at this time as I am in the middle of a legal negotiations and my attorney has advised me to say, "I am not at liberty to discuss this right now" like all the good ones say today...
I am at liberty to say "Happy New Year" and act on behalf of the whole danged Anderson Clan when expressing these heartfelt sentiments...Now go out and take on this new year...
I was going to do a washload today but we have no water as we speak so there is a temporary delay in that department...I did manage to lather up and shave before we ran out...I believe that they have turned on the daily allotment now so I will soon be taking a shower...Being able to shave was a good thing as I don't think straight with facial hair stickin' out here and there...The reason I am calm, cool and collected about this water thing is that I can't get any service over at Vip's until 9:00am today anyway...
Alice and I brought in the New Year by having a bottle of Champagne and some super junk-food snacks like dip and chips and salame and olives, etc., and so on, as we watched the ball drop in Time's Square and kissed passionately just like we were at the Waldorf and Guy Lombardo was playing our song...Ain't love grand???
Yesterday, once again, Alice let me go over to Cantones and have some Chinese food, paquette numero uno...Alice really doesn't think highly of this establishment but I have to have a soy sauce fix from time to time and I'm aware that the food there does not live up to stateside standards, nevertheless, it's the best show in town!!! Thanks Alice!!!
I will soon be over at Vip's and I hope we can start out the new year together...For most of you sleepyheads, 9:00am should be just about what the doctor ordered...See ya??? Hope so!!!
