Hola all ye who were witness to the end of the college football season yesterday as we know it...Now it's on to the bowl games for a fortunate few...Oh what a tangled web this year brings to the bowl computer...Only Hawaii stands undefeated in Division I and I love it...What a game Hawaii played last night against Washington over in Oahu...I'll bet the celebration is still going on over there and will last all next week...I hope Hawaii gets a BCS bowl bid!!! They are fun to watch!!! All college scores below...
I had a scare this morning as there was no water available to wash the clothes or take a shower in but 'Manly Man' came to the rescue and after a 'tweedle' here and a 'dee dee' there, 'Manly Man' was able to restore service without a single bound and almost as fast as a speeding bullet...Thanks 'Manly Man', we couldn't have done it without ya!!!
Yesterday Alice and I returned to our favorite Saturday brunch place, Estancia, and, once again, it didn't disappoint...I started with some sweets (an orange cake) and fruit and orange juice and then went to the silver holder section for a little carne asada so that I could say I had something mexicano and then it was off to the hotcake station where I filled up with three and then went back to 'griddle centro' and had a nice chap fry me two huevos over medium and some bacon for two...Coffee was non-stop as was the supply of assorted cookies...They're big on cookies for breakfast buffets here...Alice went from silver holder to silver holder like a hummingbird sipping from blossom to blossom...According to our resident 3-star chef, all the blossoms were very good...What a fun time!!! We are going to be regulars there, I can feel it...
I will once again do my morning coffee run over to Vip's followed by a little stopover at Walmart to pick up the makings for a Greek salad and then it's over to El Globo for an apple turnover and a glazed donut and a freshly baked baguette...Then it's homeward bound and, hopefully, a few oldie but goodie westerns...Life is good (knock wood)...
