At precisely 12:00pm today you will be able to see the light at the end of the workweek tummel...Time to get to work and start planning your get-a-way...Call that travel agency or, if your not leaving the country for a 4 nighter, get the car in for a service and get your reservations called in at the Carmel Sands or the St. Francis in San Francisco or at Heritage House up Little River Way!!! If you decide on the northern route past Mendocino, try and get the actual room at Heritage House where they made that great movie, 'Same Time Next Year'!!! Makes for a great romantic setting!!! Oh, before I forget, South Lake Tahoe is an option for those who want to play with those one-armed bandits...We stayed at Harvey's usually, Harrah's on occasion!!! Let's see, we saw Johnny Mathis twice, Glen Campbell, Liza Minnelli, Anthony Newley, Burt Bacharach, Sammy Davis jr., Vikki Carr twice, John Davidson, Wayne Newton and other assorted entertainers at Harrah's...What fun and we owe it all to Wednesday 'Hump Days' when the office became a stepping stone to other worlds...I love Hump Days!!! I never liked an office except when the door closed behind me!!! Alice and I could always come up with an excuse to get out of Dodge as long as Clarita, our Pet Nanny, was available...No droppin' the furballs off at the boarding kennels for our guys...We did that a couple of times early on when we would escape and decided that they were always in a state of shock when we returned so Clarita became a part of our life's equation and boarding kennels were out, gone, fin!!! Do we spoil our furballs??? Is Charlize Theron pretty??? Of course we spoil our furballs as we spoil ourselves...We're all in this together ya know!!! Yesterday, Alice decided that we should stay at home and have an indoor picnic with another round of home-made macaroni salad and big bowls of chile beans as a way to comida the day...Sounded good to me and it was very, very good as a matter of fact...Sometimes Alice's Texas style flame-thowin' red hot chile is just what the doctor ordered...We keep a fire extinguisher handy!!! ChaChi and little Luke joined in the fun by having their usual boneless, skinless chicken breast slices served under the table...Culinary fun was had by all!!! Soon I shall be wandering over to Vip's and I hope that you will be there around 7:30 to make my day...Comradery and coffee go hand in hand!!! See ya??? Hope so!!! Cheerio, Cliffardo
