Posted by Cliff Hola all you expatriate patriots, Here I am and there you are and here we all be together enjoying the good life SOTB...I have read my Sunday comics and cruised through the sporting green and watched the Cubbies fall flat on their face once again, this time to the Arizona Diamondbacks...I wonder if the mighty Yankees will be out after today...Poor rich George...A classic example of how money doesn't buy winners all the time!!! Go Cleveland!!! Now, on the personal side, I am cleaned up and, after I slip into something comfortable, I shall go out and make the most of what this day has to bring...I also have to hang out the wash before I get flight clearance...Alice is still doing what Sundays were made for and that's staying in bed!!! I would if I could but I have an automatic switch that turns on at 4:00am and that's just the way it is...Can't miss gettin' that fly out over the trout stream at the crack of dawn, don't I wish!!! By now, I would be heading down the old blazed trail to Blue Creek 2.5 miles away!!! Alice has arisen and we have already had our first argument of the day, this time over who hangs the clothes...Alice says I don't hang things right, me being lefthanded and all...She always wins and is out a hangin' as we speak, barefooted no less!!! Heh, Heh, Heh!!! Tom Sawyer lives!!! I don't think I ever saw a queen who went barefoot outside, except at the beach, until I met Queen Alice in 1973...No peas under my queen's mattress!!! Yesterday Alice went out one more time with Gail and they bought more stuff for her new casa...Gail's place is quite a showcase already and is getting accessorized now!!! Will it never end??? Not when your wife is a retired professional decorator!!! I hope that later this morning I might have the pleasure of your company at Vip's before I become the hermit within that I am on a Sunday!!! I hope so as college football Saturday was a disaster...USC loses...UCLA loses and to demonic Notre Dame to add salt to the wound...Only Cal remains undefeated!!! Snif!!! Sob!!! Oh well, I think I shall pick some school in Division III college football that has gone undefeated for 10 years and has a name like the Mount Union College Purple Raiders located in Alliance, Ohio and root for them as I hate losing!!! I wonder what kind of a team ole Moosejaw College in Nome is fielding these days??? The ground is frozen so they probably use those new 'blubber pads'...
