Posted by Baron There is a question going around down here in Maz concerning the new IMSS cards. We understand that there is a box in the new application where you must put an "elector card" number. As extranjero's we're not allowed to vote, so how does the Tepic IMSS office get around that little glitch in the new computer system? Do the election folks at IFE issue an "elector card" type ID for us non-voters, or is there some other answer to the question. We know that there are a lot of expats here in Mexico who take advantage of the IMSS health care system, so I'm sure there may be others who will be interested in your answer. If I remember correctly, you just renewed your IMSS cards, so you may just have the answer! Thanks, Baron
