Posted by Cliff on 9/20/2007, 6:31 am This part of this morning's diatribe is devoted to those significant others of the world who would rather shop and eat than log in serious fishing or old western watchin' time!!! Alice is a past president of SPESWO and remains on their Board of Directors...I have looked at Venus through my 11" Celestron and all I see are French and Italian Restaurants and shoe stores and handbags ala Chanel and Gucci and high fashion dress and crystal palaces ala Dior and Tiffany's, etc., so forth and so on...I'm glad I was born up in the red testosterone sierra slopes of the planet Mars where the deer and the antelope play and the skies are not cloudy all day and the scottish fly-fishing streams never go dry...I shop one thing at a time every 10 years if an item truly falls apart but only after a serious burial ceremony...I have a two hole policy that means that just one hole does not a reject make...Yesterday, after having a perfectly good all-american lunch at Burger king, Alice decided to make it a safari day and go shoppin' on her own downtown where only the stout of heart dare travel which means 'FABRIC STORE SHOPPING'...Alice went alone as I have a fear of great heights and fabric stores...I have known grown men who have vanished forever after going into fabric emporiums never to be seen again...Let's see, while Alice is gone, should I watch 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' or 'The Unforgiven' or maybe 'Rio Bravo' or 'The Searchers' for the umpteenth time??? All of the above??? OK!!! Seriously, yesterday, Alice and I did hit the bricks and went hogwild and did away with two grande Whopper combos yesterday with all the trimmings including two of their vanilla frosties as a culinary capper...My kind of festive spread, extra mustard please...None of that little pinky food, just some of the down and dirty stuff that makes life worth the struggle...Salt the fries??? You betcha!!! I almost forgot one of the best parts of yesterday's outing and that was meeting Celia and Roger for the first time outside of Walmart...They have been residing in Tepiclandia for some time now and it's always nice to meet other adventurers that share the same dream!!! I hope that we might hook up over at Vip's this fine morning fellow adventurers as that is when the story tellin' gets tall and the coffee even better...See ya??? Hope so!!! Cheerio and adios, Cliffardo

Hola all you members of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Shopping the World Over or SPESWO for short,
PS: The boutique in today's picture is in Paris, one of Alice's favorite shoppin' places...We'll always have Paris!!!
