Posted by Cliff (cbeepa1) on 9/19/2007, 6:43 am Hola all you members of the Inner Circle of Adventurers, Wayfarers and Wanderers, The rains came but the stars are out tonight so maybe, slowly but surely, we are heading for those beautiful fall and winter days hereabouts...You can tell the frost is starting to show up on the pumpkin as little Luke is spending more time under the covers than above...I have spruced myself up and have done a few early morning chores and am ready to take on the day...The VCR is recording the Today show for Alice and I am just sittin' here talkin' to ye laddies and lassies before toggin' up and getting out... Yesterday, after going to coffee in the early morning and doing some staple buying at Ley's and Walmart, Alice and I went over to Barandales for our comida and, as usual, it was very good from the early salsa and chips to the tostados de pollo (chicken)...With the amazing highway project going on right now, making a double decker roadway out of Insurgentes (business 15), it is difficult to get to some of these places and I'm sure several on Insurgentes will be out of business before it's completed...Sad but no help for the innocent here...I have never thought that Insurgentes was that busy even when jammed but, obviously, others think otherwise... As I get more golden in my years, I am definitely more resistant to change of any kind!!! That's the way it goes I suppose... One thing that never changes is my need to have coffee and read a newspaper every morning, come rain or come shine or double decker highway...That is an old, old, old habit that I have no intention to break...I wonder if they serve Sanborn's or Hill's Brother's up above and if I can get my San Francisco Chronicle or Examiner on a Sunday as I gotta have my comics and green page sports section even on higher hallowed ground...Come join me at Vip's this morning if you can make yourself available what with that busy retirement schedule and all!!! Cheerio for now, Cliffardo
