Posted by Cliff (cbeepa1) on 8/18/2007, 6:53 am Hola all you members of the Inner circle of Adventurers, Wayfarers and Wanderers, Yesterday was one of those days when the word 'exciting' wouldn't cover it...First a rainy day that would try your very soul...We must have had 100 inches of mother natures soup with thunder and lightning reminding you how insignificant you are when the 'old gal' wants to put on a show!!! All the streets that run parallel here in my colony all run down to a diverting canal at Paseo de Vienna and there must have been an eight inch river running down all these calles heading for the canal for well over two hours...It moved the cement sandpile for the casa constuction next door down to my casa and my parked car was knee deep in this mud!!! I'm trapped but I have no place I can't walk to anyway so 'no problemo' para mi!!! My computer picked this day to decide that it was terminally ill and, when I rushed it to the computer doctor, I was forced to consider the possibility that I might need a new computer...It's making a noise right now that makes me feel the end is near...I'm too darned old for a new computer...I like things that are old and worn out!!! Alice has to steal my old tennis shoes to get me to buy a new pair...I love old westerns more than new ones and I still look for my old MacGregor red James Dean windbreaker from Rebel without a Cause that Alice accidently gave away, much to my dismay, to Goodwill 30 years ago...I know it well because of the scrape marks on one sleeve when I jumped off a moving double-decker bus in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1956 and slide all the way to the curb...Jumping off a moving double-decker is done by most Scots instead of waiting for the bus to stop and it takes a little practice..I never fell again...I'm a fast learner...Those MacGregors were made to last a lifetime so I know my old jacket is out there somewhere...I have a standing finder's fee so, if you see it, grab it, por favor!!! I'll make it worth your while!!! Being a bachelor while Alice plays around in Puerto Vallarta, I'm enjoying the old favorites like hot-dogs, macaroni and potato salads and anything else that I don't have to fix myself!!! I guess I had better at least make my bed and shave and shower as even I require that I only live the life of a 'beach bum' figuratively and not literally!!! Alice frowns on bums!!! I might look for 'my lost shaker of salt' here in Margaritaville but that's because Alice has prepared me a delicious T-bone steak and not because of Jimmie Buffett... See ya at coffeeville??? Hope so!!! Vip's is a good place to start getting that old feelin'!!! Cheers, Cliffardo

ChaChi and little Luke are still just staring at the door all day and I think they think I must have had something to do with Alice's disappearance based on the evil eye they are giving me!!!
