Hello Johnny and Cliff,
I have visited Compostela...it is a quaint little village that sits atop a hill surrounded by Agave fields. It has a great little open air market, a large church and a bit cooler climate than on the coast. I don't know about where to stay or how friendly anyone is there.
Cliff maybe you can get Bob and Vicky from Rincon de Guayabitos to give Johnny the low down and 411 on Compostela. They run a guided tour business and B&B... took me their on a guided tour several years ago...Compostela is on my list of possible SOB locations.
