Posted by Cliff We have lived and loved one more month and now we have May to enjoy...Time does fly by when you're havin' fun!!! I, for one, intend to keep smilin' no matter what transpires...I certainly will avoid CNN and other similiar purveyors of the bad and the ugly and focus on the beautiful, especially May flowers that Al Jolson told us were brought on by April showers...No April showers here but lots of flowers nevertheless...I have washed what was in the clothes hamper and have mowed the stubblefields with Mr. Gillette and have showered and am lookin' pretty good if I do say so myself...You can avoid being laughed at by being the only one up...When I was a workerbee, I always had a plan or a quota or something to insure that there was always greenery in the envelope on payday but now that I am officially and willingly gainfully unemployed, my plan is simply not to get involved with anything that resembles a plan or a quota and the rest will take care of itself...Let's see, should I pay Megacable today or tomorrow??? Maņana of course!!! There's always maņana and it's good enough for me!!! Oh, by the way, happy Labor Day...Lupita is off today so we are goin' down the road without our housekeeping support but we shall overcome...Yesterday was the 'Day of the Kids' here!!! I don't recall such a day back stateside except Saturday or Sunday especially if Dad decided to go fishin' on Sunday so I had a legitimate excuse to avoid Sunday school...Five days was enough school anyway!!! I am an honest man who only tell white lies so don't ask if I think that Sunday school built character in my case as Mama is probably listening...Being in the great outdoors fishin' builds character and that's why I was well built until evething decided to go south, me included JaJaJaJaJa...Barandales was the restaurant of choice at Villa Las Roses yesterday and Alice and I had our usual tacos de pollo and fajitas de res with chips and salsa for starters...Always good there...It's gettin' pretty hot now so we don't drive around as much after our comida and that's fine with me...I did walk over to pay my Alarm bill though as I needed to do something to work off those delicious fajitas...That's about a two mile walk...Just what the doctor ordered... Am I going to be lucky enough to have the pleasure of your company this morning for coffee or am I going to be relegated to just reading the paper??? We shall see I guess!!!
