Posted by Cliff I no longer have to 'go to work' so my day may be different from those of you stateside...I officially hung up my Talbot tie in 1999 and haven't looked back...No more going to bed with my Florsheims underneath...Now my life is truly all 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness'...I have lifted the surly bonds...Monday really is no different than Saturday or Wednesday anymore...I try and keep track of the date only because I have bills that must be paid, i.e. water, electricity, Megacable, etc., by certain days...That goes for my mail forwarding service NOTB as well...Even though you're retired, people still want money!!! I have done my Monday stuff of strippin' the bed and starting a Whirlpool full of clothes and bed linens though as as Lupita still operates as a worker bee and uses days as steps to the light at the end of her workweek tunnel...Friday and Saturday still means a whole lot to her as it did to me when I was a worker bee...Paydays were always good days as long as the bookkeeper hadn't screwed up the deductions and the commissions were all there...I had a bookkeeper once try to short me 1000 buckaroos and she learned that math is one of my hidden strong suits...The day of Math and wrath it was known as!!! Never happened again... Yesterday, after doing my coffee thing, I picked up some groceries that my 3-star chef converted into a delicious Tuna salad which is one of my favorites...It pays to shop at this house and the dividends keep on comin'...Actually I think Alice had one of those 3-Michelin star restaurants in Paris in a past life...I am a lucky man!!!
