Posted by Cliff You can certainly rent a car here...I've put down some co's below that are listed in an old phone book I have...Didn't get one last year, phone book that is...Hope the info is still ok...A taxi ride here in Tepic is 20 pesos during the day and that gets you to any place in town...Local buses get you around also for a couple of pesos...I don't know the actual amount as I use my car or my legs to get around in town...When Alice and I go to PV we use the Tap bus line for 115 pesos ea as I prefer to leave the driving on the curvy Hwy 200 to others...If I were younger I would take the ole Mustang over there without a doubt faster than a speeding bullet but now I'm just mild mannered Clark Kent all the time...There aren't any good phone booths for changin' clothes around anymore anyway...It's a pretty drive to PV but you can get stuck behind trucks and it can be pretty frustrating to the unintiated, however, if you get a rental and love drivin', then go for it!!!
