Sorry to hear that Don Ho has passed away...He was a Hawaiian institution and, when Alice and I were going to Hawaii every year to get away from it all, we usually caught his show, Tiny Bubbles and all...Thanks for the memories Don!!! Yesterday, Alice and I went to Casa Gallo for a fine diverse breakfast of chorizo mollettes, hotcakes (with butter and syrup), bacon, a ranch dressing salad and a little macaroni salad plus a platter of sweet things, coffee and ice water included...A weird combination but, when the company is good along with the service, actually quite pleasing...After breakfast, Alice and I went downtown to take care of some personal matters and then decided that we were hungry again and we stopped by the LaLoma hotel, sat out back by the pool and partaked of their hospitality until the last salsas and guacamole and chips and beverages were gone...Finally, after taking in considerable ballast, we rolled on home...Once there at Casa Anderson we decided that we needed a dessert so out came the chocolate shell syrup and the vanilla ice cream and the chicken breast for the furballs and the party continued well into the afternoon until tardes turned into noche...I had taped some fishing shows from the Outdoor channel while we were away and I managed to watch these winners until I switched back to another western with a clean shaven Kris Kristofferson playing Billy the Kid...Didn't work for me but I watched it anyway...After all, it was a western... Soon, after I hang out a wash and take a walk with Alice, I will be over at Vip's having my coffee so join in if you can...Oops, just as I was hangin' up, Rawhide came on the tele with Frankie Laine singin' their great song and I realized how much Frankie is missed by moi...Quite a talent... Cheerio, Cliffardo

Up a lazy river by the old mill stream
That lazy, hazy river where we both can dream
Linger in the shade of an old oak tree
Throw away your troubles, dream a dream with me
Wakes up in the mornin', as we roll along
Blue skies up above ....everyones in love
Up a lazy river, how happy we will be, now
Up a lazy river with me
That lazy, lazy river in the noon day sun
You can linger in the shade of that fine ole tree
Throw away your troubles, baby, dream with me
Wakes a brand new mornin as we roll along
There are blue skies up above...and as long as we're in love
Up a lazy river, how happy we could be
If you go up a lazy river with me.........
