Hola all you members of the Inner Circle of Adventurers, Wayfarers and Wanderers,Hump Day is here and just in time...I thought I was never goin' to see the light at the end of this workweek tunnel...I am up, dressed and ready for whatever they throw at me...Bring on the day!!! I have already hung up a load of clothes that Alice had tossed in the Whirlpool last night and I have another load in the rinse cycle as we speak...Just what you needed to know...The rise and fall of macho man!!! Oh well, I wasn't goin' anywhere this early anyway so I might as well pitch in and do my part until death do us...Part that is!!! I will soon be out pursuing the neighborhood with Alice and then I will do a little banking on the tele and then I will do my coffee thing over at Vip's and then I shall go out and pay my rent...I think I can handle it...Must have slept funny as I woke up with a sore back...Usually I have a sore back after Alice and I go on vacation as Alice is the only person I know who can load 100lbs into a suitcase designed for 50lbs...Even the wheels go flat so I can't pull it by the strap...During my weight lifting days I could clean and jerk 265lbs over my head (I only weighed in at around 150 lbs drippin' wet) and do an overhead press of 250lbs and I was only 15 goin' on 16...This was a time when I could truly say I was all muscle, head included...Ahhhhh, youth, why hast thou forsaken me??? Repeat after me: "I am young at heart"..."I am young at heart"..."I am young at heart"..."I am young at heart"...Often enough and I just might believe it...
Yesterday Alice and I went to Las Palomas for our comida and I had my usual chef salad whilst Alice had her usual 'make your own' soup that she makes into a chowder consistency...We also had salsa and chips as a starter...I also downed a few butter laden dinner rolls as well...Bread is the staff of my life and always has been goin' back to my days as a kid rollin' up dough balls out of a slice of very fresh Kilpatrick bread and poppin' them in as I rollerskated around the neighborhood, skate key around my neck, pondering the meaning of kindergarten and 'flour and water' paste and naps...Lookin' back at it, my kindergarten teacher had it made...One hour of cut-outs and paste and two hours of nap-time and one hour of recess, my favorite...Never could get attached to the idea of naps during the day as there were frogs to catch and enemies to eliminate and wading pools to wade in and places to hide and ice cream trucks to stop and mud to get between your toes and dogs to pet and try to ride and all kinds of manly endeavors when you're five and a half goin' on six...
I hope that I might have the pleasure of your company over at Vip's today as that would make my day!!! See ya??? Hope so!!!
Cheerio and adios,
Cliffardo
