Hola all ye members of the Roy Rogers Buckaroo and Buckaraa Club,Sorry Gene Autry fans but at an early age I found out that one had to choose between Gene and his Melody Ranch or Roy, Trigger and Dale and I chose the Palomino...I guess I liked the Sons of the Pioneers being a 'tumblin' tumble weed' myself...Below is a picture if Roy and the group when he was known as Leonard Slye to his Mama...
I have risen to the occasion and have even put in a load of wash this fine matinee day...I am now presentable to go out and take on the day which means that Vip's and Walmart and El Globo will have the pleasure of my company...I have broken in my two new pairs of tennies so I now walking instead of driving whenever possible...Yesterday I walked over to IMSS to get my next routine appointment and everyday now I also walk to Vip's, Walmart, Ley's, Soriana and El Globo as needed as they are both within easy walkin' distance...This new casa is saving me big petrol (gas to you without the stiff upper lip) bucks...How's your boot and your bonnet laddies and lassies??? That's what a true bloke calls his trunk and his hood, Robin!!! When's the last time you had a pair of gloves in your glovebox??? I bought a pair of gloves when Alice and I went to Paris for Christmas a few years ago...Came in mighty handy but I can't tell you where they are now...Still have my London Fog Trench Coat (bought for the same trip) though although the only action it has seen lately was the move to the new casa...We liked Paris so much that we went right back, same time, different station (Hotel)...There's something about sittin' in a French Boulangerie Patisserie at 6:00am in Paris sippin' a double expresso and nibblin' on a fresh coissant while lookin' down the tree lined Champs-Elysee towards the Arc de Triumph with all the trees decorated and their Christmas lights shining brightly!!! Almost as good as what I remember as a lad of five lookin' at Grandmother's tree...Magical, magical, magical!!!
Yesterday Alice and I went over to Olaa again for another Shrimp ensalasda (without lettuce)... Lots (an oval platter full) of delicious fresh shrimp, red onions and thinly sliced avacado with appropriate salsas (I brought my own cocktail sauce)...Delicious...Olaa had added a 'bar menu' now with several additional treats such as Pescado and Camaron Empanazados - (Fish or shrimp breaded in a light flour crust) and Pescado or Camaron Mojo de Ajo - (Fish or shrimp sautéed with butter & garlic)...They also have crab and other goodies as well...Olaa served us a six inch diameter tostado chip, for lack of a better description, with shrimp pate spread over the top as a starter...Just keeps on gettin' better folks!!!
I hope that you will join me for a cuppa coffe this morning at Vip's!!!
Cheerio,
Cliffardo
