Posted by Don B. (DonB) on 3/4/2007, 8:52 am, in reply to "Peace in the valley!!!" Nora and I are back home now. We stopped in Ixtlan del Rio to break up the trip to Guadalajara and had a nice chat with Arturo Larios, owner of Moby Dick's seafood restaurant on the plaza... El Globo bakery, according to the internet, was founded in 1884. We must have found one of the first of their locations near our Guad. hotel, as there was a picture near the cash register of the site as it appeared in the early 20th century. I'll make a full report by e-mail. It was nice seeing you again, you are looking well, and I'm sorry we didn't have more time to visit... Nora seems to have been favorably impressed by Tepic, by the way, and she really enjoyed her fish dinner at Laguna Sta. Maria, as well as the specialty of the house at "Reinos Salvages." Hasta Luego!!

William Bendix, eh? I wish they would show some re-runs of that old TV show on one of the cable channels. I would watch, just to be reminded of my childhood days. I remember I thought it was the greatest thing going!
