Posted by Cliff (cbeepa1) on 3/4/2007, 7:12 am Sunday in paradise and all's well (knock wood)...I am up and dressed and ready to make my Sunday pilgrimage over to Vip's for coffee and then El Globo for some sweets for Alice and Moi at Casa Anderson whilst we watch the Antique Roadshow on TV...I wonder if I gave away something that is now worth thousands de dinero...I got Ty Cobb's autograph at a Sports/Fishing Exposition in Francisco as he was sitting all alone in a booth and I, as a wee laddie, struck up a conversation with this 'great one'...He was nice to me is all I can remember...Somewhere in my travels the autograph was lost...I wonder what it might bring today??? Have a Barney Oldfield autograph as well but, if you weren't an early car racing buff, you might not know know who Barney was but one thing is certain: Barney Oldfield was one of the greatest, if not the greatest, race drivers of all time. His name is so meshed with racing that even those who don't follow the sport recognize it...Last time I checked, an autographed note from Barney was worth around $1000 on the internet...Wish I had a thousand of them...I can't seem to find a Van Gough or a Monet hidden behind any of our gallery type paintings...I'll keep lookin'!!! Alice, the resident 3-star chef, made us a delicious tomato, spicy peppers and pesto tortiglioni pasta dish yesterday that was absolutely marvelous...For dessert, Alice had chilled rasberries and blackberries on vanilla ice cream whilst I had a chocolate sundae...Both were winners...Oh how I love my life...Even managed to squeeze in a western called the Streets of Laredo(1949) with William Holden, Mona Freeman, MacDonald Carey and Willam Bendix...Good trail ridin' pardner!!! Hope to see ya soon over at Vip's...I'll be there by 7:30 I think...Need to hang the wash first...Hey, If Chuck Yeager can hang up a wash so can I, so back off... Cheerio, Cliffardo
