Posted by Cliff (cbeepa1) on 2/23/2007, 6:04 am Let's start this day with a show of appreciation for all those worker bees that are earning those paychecks stateside that lead to deductions that go to Uncle Sam to be laundered prior to being sent to us SOTB so that we might live the great life that we have grown accustomed to!!! Thanks to the generosity of all you clock punchers north of the Rio Grande, I am now an expert in the pursuit of happiness as I slip the surly bonds commonly called work...When you punch out at 5:00pm today and are commuting towards your hard-earned 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath chalet, remember that we sons and daughters of retirement SOTB are doffing our sombreros to you and only you!!! Muchas gracias amigos and amigas...Have a great day!!! I am up and have stripped the bed and have mowed the stubblefields with Mr. Gillette and have been through the residential body wash and have a washload of clothes started in the laundry room...Alice is in charge of the clean clothing segment of these morning responsibilities as we speak and I can hear the Whirlpool singin' it's song right now...I just load and Alice takes it from there although I did hang a load that was started earlier last night... Alice and I decided to go out and see if there was anything we were missing at the new Sam's Club yesterday as there was a hint that they had increased their inventory since their grand-opening and we didn't want to miss anything like Tillamook extra-sharp cheddar cheese or other gringo additives but, no fear, there still is nothing out there that will make us renew our card...Even the tennis shoes supply that showed promise when they first opened, as they had some size 11's, has now dwindled down to a precious few, a common result of a system (the no-system system) here of selling off new inventory and then not ordering certain items back in...They have the worst selection in tennis shoes in all of Tepiclandia now...Sad but true...No wonder there were not more than three other customers there yesterday...This huge warehouse and nobody is coming to dinner!!! Inventory control is so bad here that places like Walmart and such can go without 'basic stock' items for months with lost sales all over the place as a result...There was a positive though in the trip out to Sam's as the Manger Restaurant is located on the street going back and Alice and I stopped there and had a delicious comida of fajitas de pollo and BBQ'd ribs...Made the Sam's run a worthwhile trip afterall... I hope that you might join me at Vip's this morning as I would like to see ya!!! It's been quite awhile now!!! Cheerio, Cliffardo
