You are right across from the LaLoma Park...Good location...The Villa Las Rosas (Barandale Restaurant) is a regular stop of ours for comida...There is a vegetarian restaurant along the rightside (facing the park from your hotel) of the park about four to five blocks down Paseo De La Loma...The weather usually is very nice now so I wouldn't worry that much about extreme weather based apparel...Not too hot or cold so middle of the road fits...The rain we are having now is unusual...Vip's is on the same street, Insurgentes, as Walmart where Vip's shares the parking lot...It is a long walk however...We enjoy a bevy of restaurants but, if you have people with prior eating experiences in Tepic, just go wih the flow and you probably can't go wrong...There is an Italian restaurant around the right side of the park as well...If I knew what you like, I could tell you what we do I.E. good BBQ'd ribs, The Manger without a doubt: http://www.mangersteakhouse.com/ If you said Italian, read this post of mine: http://members4.boardhost.com/Nayarit/msg/1168695029.html Dutch's is another one that is within walking distance of your hotel...Read this old post of mine: http://members4.boardhost.com/Nayarit/msg/18611.html Have fun down here and, if you can see yourself clear, I'll usually be a Vip's around 7:30am...
