Posted by Cliff (cbeepa1) on 1/23/2007, 6:31 am Hola all you expat patriots, It is still raining here in Tepiclandia and it can stop anytime now as it is an uninvited guest this time of the year and is not welcome until the rainy season starts all over again months down the road...Like a relative showing up five days after Thanksgiving and getting uptight because there's no turkey and stuffing left...GETOUTTAHERE!!! Yesterday was the setting for what eventually became another successful venture into the wonderful world of Burger King and the Land of the Whoppers!!! What fun!!! Good to the last shoestring...The vanilla frosties were super as well!!! Did I tell you that today is my Birthday!!! Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear Cliffardo, Happy Birthday to me!!! In my family, on one's birthday, you could expect at least four family members to call first thing in the morning and sing the happy birthday song to ya!!! Oh what I would give to hear Mom and Dad and Grandma and Aunt Nen sing it one more time...The sad part of the aging process is those who leave you along the way...I liken it to being born by a big beautiful christmas tree filled with hundreds of bright twinkling lights and then, one by one, they dim and go out...Eventually you truly do become the last rose of summer... If you're at the coffee stop (Vip's) this morning, I'll expect the song so get your voice warmed up!!! Adios amigos, Cliffardo the Ancient

Thought that might get ya!!! Remember that ole hook back in the days of two feature movies (One A, one B) plus 'added attractions'??? Guys and gals that never made it 'BIG' got to play in those second movies like Richard Carlson and Steve Cochran and Zachary Scott with leading ladies like Julie Adams and Virginia Grey with movie names like the Big Stickup and The Creature from the Black Lagoon...Julie looked real good in her outdated one-piece swimming suit!!! My favorite 'added attraction' was a Donald Duck Cartoon!!! Donald and I share the same sunny disposition...
