Posted by Cliff on 1/19/2007, 6:02 am Hola all you expat patriots, It's that day that we all worked for that signaled the end of the workweek and made it all worthwhile...Thank Goodness...Friday is the day you leave early after the devouring the Cobb salad lunch that the boss is buying celebrating Susy's birthday...Always look a free lunch into your mouth...Friday is the day when you get up at the Carmel Sands in Carmel and don't miss work back at the office one little teensy bit...Having supreme confidence in my sales ability, I always knew that, if the boss canned me for spending more time in Carmel than I did on the job, there were other opportunities that were just waiting to pull me back on board...I was the guy who, when he called ahead to make a Thursday reservation at the Carmel Sands, always had them take the phone out of the room...I left all my pagers at home as well...If you want to talk business, you'll have to wait until Alice and I get back from our 4-day weekend...I put in my 40 Monday through Wednesday and my billing is more than anyone else's so "I vant to be alone"...I have early morning footprints to leave on beaches, restaurants to critique, Clint (Eastwood) and Doris (Day) to talk to and a queen for a wife that needs a little spoiling...Carmel, here we come!!! Yesterday Alice and I had breakfast at Casa Gallo and enjoyed every morsel...When you sit down at Casa Gallo for desayuno, the first thing they bring you is an assortment of sweets...My kind of place...Their hot cakes are excellent...Later yesterday we wandered over to the large taco stand that stands nearby our new residence, sat down and devoured 12 pancake sized 'made to order' tacos with all the trimmings...Gluttony run amuck!!! Dessert consisting of coconut ice cream and cookies finished this culinary excess beautifully....Well done!!! I will soon start the process all over again at Vip's and the invitation to join in the fun still stands... Cheerio, Cliffardo
