PEP is an acronym for "Peak Envelope Power". There is no such thing as RMS when referring to power. RMS is an acronym for "Root Mean Square" and is a mathematical calculation used to determine "Average Power". sometimes the 2 are mistakenly used interchangeably. the term RMS is experiencing popular use as a direct result of misunderstanding and the faulty labelling of test equipment.
